Toradora – The End of Greatness
Alas, what was my favorite anime has come to an end. I don’t know what I’ll do without a daily does of Taiga and Minorin…T.T

And even sadder…I have pulled no screencaps. But am fully intending to do this post anyways! Teehee.
The ending of Toradora was more than I could have hoped for. It was romantic, sweet, surprising and a little heart-wreching. I loved it…and I’m hard to please when it comes to anime endings. However, this post will be a short one. ^.^
From episode 20 on, it got way more intense than it had been previously.

The drama of it all blew me away. I almost couldn’t take it! XD
The fact that Minorin was in love with Ryuuji was just an obvious thing. I wasn’t expecting the trouble it caused, however. I was expecting Taiga and Ryuuji to end up friends and would hope for nothing more. (No disappointments, you know?) But Ami’s subtle provoctotion of Minorin stirred Minorin’s true feelings and set everything in motion.
The Christmas episode broke my heart, seeing Taiga cry like that. And Minorin witnessing Taiga cry like that, causing her to realize she couldn’t ever be with Ryuuji. It was just so….KYA! *Fangirls in corner*
Taiga realizing her own feelings toward Ryuuji was a huge moment as well. Though the scene where they were revealed to him reminded me of Hana Yori Dango to the extreme. It was a cute, sweet and shocking confession made by an injured Taiga. And Ryuuji not knowing how to act afterword was quite the plus as well…very adorable, very predictable!
The build up to the Taiga/Ryuuji relationship was killing me throughout the entire series, from episode three on. It was just something that was meant to happen and got more and more intense with each passing episode.
Taiga realizing that she loved Ryuuji rather than Kitamura and asking for Kitamura’s help instead….SO FLIPPIN AWESOME!
The Valentine’s Day episode was no less than epic. Though I had a few choice words for Minorin after handling Taiga in such away, it had the desired effect. Forcing Taiga to face her feelings toward Ryuuji and both of them to face one another.
But, Taiga being Taiga, ran away. T.T
Good thing Ryuuji chased her!…and chased her…and chased her…lol.
The confession episode blew my overly-ecstatic fangirl mind. I was expecting them to date, slowly get closer, the time consuming stuff. None of which we’d get see…but no, they went for full on MARRIAGE…
I was jumping up and down and squealing at the top of my lungs…(Much like every time I see Ikuto, lol)
The fight with Yasuko was heartbreaking and Taiga’s mother showing up threw me for a loop…but everything turned out so well.
Even with Taiga leaving…which was horribly, horribly sad.
The ending was cute, smooth and perfectly Toradora. *Dreamy Sigh*

The fact that Toradora has ended is heartbreaking. Along with the ending of Kuroshitsuji, Skip Beat (Hopefully a second season) and numerous other great animes that all came out of that season.
Because quite honestly, I’ve lost faith in anime lately. Everything has become so over-done or cliche that I really couldn’t stand to watch it anymore. The Winter Season was a bust that got my hopes up for nothing. I can only hope the spring season will be better.

And by better, I mean I am expecting excellent characters, plot, growth, romance and action. High expectations, but what the hell? I’m sick of seeing the same thing over and over again. If the spring season can’t give me that, I don’t think I’ll be blogging much of anything. I’m not even sure if I’ll be watching the second season of La Corda D’Oro because it’s so cliched.
My point is, anime has gone down hill lately and I’m not expecting an amazing anime that will catch my interest and keep me interested anytime soon.
Toradora signified the end of good anime for me. At least for now…:P…Anime will come back to awesomeness eventually! XD That doesn’t mean I’ll stop blogging about random interest or watching anime, though. I’ve just gotten extra picky lately.
My Spring Anime Post will be up soon. With all of the lovely anime I plan to sample, and perhaps blog if any of them can reach my now maniacal standards. XD Look forward to it.
